About MicroFrugality
Welcome to the MicroFrugality.com personal finance blog. What is this site all about?
MicroFrugality.com was created for one reason – to provide tips on how anyone can lower their living expenses.
If you think this site can provide valuable content to you, I would be honored to deliver it. Please subscribe to the RSS feed or get new posts emailed to you (both are 100% free, of course).
Why did you start this blog?
Why lower your expenses? With all of the personal finance advice out there there are really only two strategies for getting ahead financially:
- Increase your Income
- Lower your Expenses
Increasing your income should not be ignored, but there are a lot of factors that make this out of control. You could suddenly lose your job, become disabled, lose big in the stock market, etc. If our expenses rise along with our income, we become increasingly dependent on that income to survive.
Expenses, on the other hand, are something that we can micromanage and control (no matter what your income is). As long as you are living under your means, you always have an opportunity to get ahead financially. And that’s what we’ll focus on – frugal tips (some practical, some extreme) to limit your expenses so that you can build wealth and not feel as dependent on your income.
Ultimately, I believe that frugality is essential to achieving financial freedom. If you share the same passion for frugality and the positive impact it can have on your life, I’d love to have you subscribe and become a contributing reader of Microfrugality.com
